The "Light of SCO" of "Friends from Afar" was re-performed in a new upgrade at the Olympic Sailing Center. The "international and Chinese" performance during the SCO Qingdao Summit amazed the world. This time, "fireworks are gorgeous and drones are dancing", pride and glory bloomed in the sky, and once again made headlines in the media!

In June this year, the 18th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was successfully held in Qingdao. This was a major diplomatic event hosted by China and had far-reaching significance for promoting regional cooperation and development.

More than three months after the SCO Qingdao Summit ended, the Olympic Sailing Center has been the focus of attention of tourists and citizens, and the post-summit effect continues to amplify.

The overall performance consists of a light and fireworks show, a drone formation performance, the "Seaside Sound Poetry" with Qingdao characteristics, the world art treasure - Russia's top ballet "Kalinka", and "The Moon Over the Horizon" which reproduces the SCO theme.

“The Light of SCO” Shines in the Sky

The performance allows visitors to experience up close the warm atmosphere of the summit and to personally experience the pride and honor of a great power’s diplomacy and national rise.

The performance brought people into a long scroll of water and sky with the moon rippling in the waves, presenting the beautiful artistic conception of "the bright moon rises over the sea, and people across the world share this moment" for the SCO member states and observer states.

On the sparkling sea, drones light up the endless night sky, just like the "Light of SCO" blooming in the vast sky.

The novel and modern performances expanded the summit effect, spread traditional culture, lit up the city lights, created a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere, and implied the magnificent 40th anniversary of reform and opening up and the bright prospects for the future.

Light up the city and make it bloom

The stage was built entirely on the sea, which is rare in the world. It creatively integrates the bright night scene of the city into the stage performance. The drone formation dancing in the sky is even more star-studded, blooming the pride and glory of the entire city.

The drone show was accompanied by the theme song "Qingdao", flying brilliantly, with dots of fluorescent light, like a flowing galaxy.

The aerial drone show, combined with the visual stories presented on the big screen and the dance performances of people on the stage, creates a three-dimensional interaction between people, machines and screens, forming a three-dimensional art form.

The performance uses the sky as the backdrop, the sea as the stage and the city as the scenery, presenting the audience with a "post-SCO" visual feast.

Due to the design of the water stage and relying on precise positioning technology, a fleet of drones took off on the "sea" in an unconventional formation, interpreting Qingdao's enthusiasm and openness through the art of light!
